Aralia School of Herbal Medicine

New year, new announcement!

First year complete, new beginnings

So much has happened this year at Aralia School of Herbal Medicine. I moved everything I own and my entire apothecary (twice!) and finally settled in a beautiful house in Hardwick, Vermont.

This lovely spot has room for teaching classes, making medicine, seeing clients, and housing all of my herbs.

I took a big leap and started a uniquely accessible online school and community platform. With new classes each month the library of recordings has expanded, addressing what I consider to be the three most essential building blocks of herbal education; detailed knowledge of medicinal plants, an understanding of human physiology, and high quality medicine making techniques.

Not to mention getting my life and herbal practice established in a whole new bioregion. It’s been a whirlwind!

Critical thinking and filling in the gaps

The school got off to a great start and continues to grow and thrive. We have an awesome group of students engaging in classes, connecting at study group, and even meeting each other in person on the other side of the country. With the creative format there are students who watch classes at their own pace, on their own schedule, and others who participate in every live event.

It's been so fun to help fill in gaps of herbal information for students, and to have the opportunity to make the experience I’ve gained in my years of clinical practice beneficial to a wider group of people. Helping folks learn to work with plant medicines effectively, as well as how to think critically about health and the body, is fast becoming my passion.

New Year, New Classes!

I have also been developing exciting new classes and programs for this coming new year. The first quarter will start with classes many of you have requested. Adaptogens: Herbs of Resilience and Medicinal Mushrooms in Clinical Practice will be the first two, followed by Mastering Kitchen Herbalism.

If you have been considering joining the student membership, now is a great time to enroll. You can participate in these upcoming classes, and get access to entire library of classes taught over this past year!

Enhanced membership- Fall 2026

And, drum roll, the much awaited announcement: the Advanced Membership will start in the fall! This option is for students who want to go deeper, with small group mentorship and more personalized teaching, in addition to the programs offered in Standard membership.

The primary focus will be on case studies, incorporating concepts of constitutional physiology and clinical skills. I am so excited to begin these small cohort sessions, and really help students to start putting all the pieces together. More info coming soon!

Thanks for joining me on this journey and wishing you all a great new year,
